Wherever you choose to go in Britain, its vast public transport network can get you there - efficiently,economically and, perhaps most importantly, in an environmentally friendly way. Travelling by train also has the advantage of allowing you to enjoy Britain’s widely varying scenery without the stress of having to drive, finding somewhere to park or continuously having to look at the car in front.

Britain's magnificent scenery ranges from craggy mountain to fenland; cliff top to beach; moorland to valleys, woods, forests and lakes and a rolling 'patchwork quilt' of fields leading to villages, historic towns, cathedral cities, castles and stately homes. To really experience these delights at close quarters, however, you should travel by train.
